“Ha! What a silly bunny. What did you tell him, Beatrice, when he
asked why?” asks Poppy.
“Oh, you know very well what I said!” smiles Beatrice at her
butterfly friends.
The butterflies dance around the rose garden and sing a little song:
“Because the sky is high and I can fly!
Up and down, flying all around.
Life’s sure sweet as a butterfly.
Light as a feather, floating together.
Life’s real sweet as a butterfly.”
“You ask why! Because we can fly, all the way up...
We can go so high!
Whirl and twirl around the bright blue sky
Down we go; we land with grace.
This is our garden; this is our space.
Fly, fly, flying all around...”
