Charles Manson is famous with the Moon in the 10 house, or should I say infamous. His

notoriety is not because of his accolades but the cult and murders he instigated. He led the
Manson Family, a cult based in California, in the late 1960s. The members committed a series
of nine murders at four locations in July and August 1969. In 1971, Manson was convicted
of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the deaths of seven people, in-
cluding the film actress Sharon Tate. The prosecution contended that, while Manson never
directly ordered the murders, his ideology constituted an overt act of conspiracy.

His mother was an extreme alcoholic prostitute and imprisoned while he was a child. Since
the Moon indicates the mother, his Moon is very afflicted, influenced by the conjunction
with Rahu and conjunct Saturn. As with Tatum O’Neal he has the Moon and Rahu in the 10

house and Ketu in the 4 house indicating neglect that was abusive while a child. But in his

case, he also has Pluto in the 4 house in opposition to his Moon, Rahu and Saturn. Pluto

in the 4 house as seen in Jackson’s chart dealt with abuse in the home. Pluto is associated

with obsessions and disgrace, but also can contribute to a certain charisma that gave him
the ability to mesmerize, hypnotize and control his followers. Home, family, and mother
are totally afflicted as the Moon representing consciousness is destroyed, and because it is
in the 10 house, he became very famous for his cult and murders.

The Moon is exactly conjunct Rahu, and the closeness of degree will intensify any aspect.
Rahu conjunct the Moon will intensify the effects of extremes with obsessions, mother and
internalized fears, but of course his Moon is compounded with the aspects of Saturn and Pluto.
His Moon is in Capricorn and the nakshatra Shravana can be very intelligent, but the aspects
of Rahu and Saturn in Capricorn and the opposition of Pluto affect the nature of this Moon
tremendously.

Mansion was given the death sentence but as the death sentence was overturned in the state
of California, he was given life in prison, he died in incarceration in 2017 at the age of 83.
